合欢琉璃耳对杯系列(2003年良品美器”陶最造型奖”) 以“道家”阴阳相合的思想，将古代的“带钩”设计成现代生活用品，耳把纹饰来自明代的玉饰雕刻，“獾”即是狸猫，正反两支獾，隐喻“合欢”，象征男女双方祈求幸福之意。本件作品是将东方元素融入西方生活的一种设计，陶瓷与琉璃结合，质地温润、剔透。 合欢在广义上亦涵盖彼此之间的相互信赖与合作无间，更有共创双赢之意。 Badger-handled Paired Cups (winner of the Taiwan Good Craft Award 2003) Based on the yin-yang concept in Daoism, the belt buckle from ancient times is designed into a modern-life implement. The decor on the handle is inspired by the jade carvings of the Ming dynasty. The Chinese character “獾”, the badger, is homophonic to “joy” and “ecstasy”. Two badgers facing each other symbolize the pursuit of happiness between men and women. In this pair of cups, Oriental elements are blended with Western daily life in the design and ceramics are combined with glass to present a warm and limpid texture.
